2018 – New Year – New Beginnings

Over the Holidays I read quite a bit. Always a little down time to read, contemplate and renew. I was able to spend some unique moments with friends and family. Life is constantly moving, what direction is always a dynamic of energy and focus. With that said I realize that the energy focused also relates to the result aimed at. Sometimes it’s a positive and yet sometimes there’s no movement or momentum. Does that mean we didn’t work it or did we do as the saying goes ” put our ladder against the wrong wall.” My hope is that we all

Denver’s Real Estate Market

Denver’s Real Estate Market Due to low inventory of homes to sale, new build inventory, rising interest rate threat, and a huge influx of population growth we have experienced an unprecedented appreciation . Can it keep going ? Maybe ? We will be living in a new reality coming soon. Homes in the $450,000 or less will still be very much a seller’s market although slowing. The change is in the $500,000 plus range will see more inventory  and longer days on the market. The plus side – more homes to choose from. We will see a slowing in

I’m Addicted !

If there was a place that was for the perpetual addicted to smart phones , I’d be there. It is self REHAB time. With three businesses and each one requiring constant attention and focus I find myself constantly checking the phone and getting that dopamine  rush when their is a request for our services. I have found this practice at times to be frustrating to myself, those around me, and to really serious accomplishment. The old saying ” when you are ready a teacher will appear” has never been more true. Recently I’ve come across Ted talks addressing this along

Is 2017 The Year For Denver Metro to Top Out ?

The last four years have been super dynamic for real estate in the Denver metro area. There have been tons of sales as well as a healthy 10% per year appreciation. Even more stunning is that the average sold price is hovering around the $400,000 mark! 2016 started with a bang and we saw an extremely hot market during the first six months. Right around the 4th of July the market began its normal leveling trend.  During the second half of the year, as trends balanced out, we saw more inventory and the market became more normal. With such great

100 Day Plans & Your Divine Mission

Ever sat down at the end of the year and looked at those lofty and ambitious goals you set at the beginning of the year ? Sometimes I must admit I’ve disappointed myself in the lack of traction I exhibited and the end results. I recently found two systems that stemmed from other individuals that have brought clarity and purpose to my life. The top one is the “100 Day Plan”. I borrowed this idea from Kevin Roberts author of Peak Performance:Business lessons from the World’s Top Sports.  Instead of making 10 goals for the year I now break down what I

Daily 5

Ever wondered where the day went ? That horrible feeling that you really didn’t accomplish what you needed to or wanted too. I have many times. Our lives are a summation of our days that are made up of hours and minutes. I’ve found something that helps me stay on track called the Big 5. I first heard Robin Sharma talk about it and started following some of his posts and blog. I’ve seen his career go ballistic and the events he has are amazing. It’s because he stays on his Big 5 and not his email.  Big 5 =

Changing Times!!

With the many developments in the real estate world we are seeing an industry challenged with change and possibility. I just finished watching Gary Keller in his speech about the online portals, relationships and his opinion of NAR’s attitude. Interesting and provocative but really he just get’s down to basics. It’s been an industry based on independent contractors productivity and drive. Unfortunately many agents get thrown in without much quality training or leadership. I found this quote from Gary Keller: “Life isn’t just about where you are but where you are going. If your not going forward your going backwards.

If I Knew Then What I Know Now!!

Recently I was on the elliptical at the gym and the guy next to me was expounding to a young lady on the other side of him his life philosophy. He was telling her, If only he knew then ( younger self 30 years ago) what he knows now, he might be in a better place. Example: When he heard about Apple and Google stock being available at a below $100 per share price he would say to himself” I should buy some of that.” Also when he was presented with the temptations of Drugs and Drink he would say

Making Every Day Count!

Recently we lost a very talented trainer – Oliver Frascona. His wit and knowledge always led to good educational classes that were always informative. Many went for his humor , just to make it through required real estate classes. I know when he woke up on Sunday that he didn’t think that was going to be his last day. We never know, so let’s make everyday count. What would your perfect day look like? Would it be different depending on the day? How can we manage our time, energy and talents to leave the proper legacy that we would want to
